The nice thing about making these mandelas is….you don’t have to have a memory. All you need is a compass to draw the circles and many markers! I forgot how much I relax and enjoy coloring in these mandelas. The hardest part is deciding on the design. I have to purposefully bring in the purples and the maroons cuz those aren’t my “go to” colors.
Just plain fun! I reinforced the black lines to help define the shapes better. I can’t believe it’s been a year since I did my mandela series
Thats it! You went and done it....I'am between sketches for the moment searching for my next drawing and now i have to make some mandelas.....I've never made one but yours are so beautiful. I wonder what markers you use and what paper? Maybe you've already told us... i'll have to poke around a little. This is just gorgeous!
I wonder...... how much thought process do you put into it as far as what doodle to use...a lot of thought or just kind of whatever pops in your head??? Hugs! deb
Thanks Uaite! Hi Deb, get yourself some fine point sharpies or Bic's and have fun. I don't put too much thought into the layout, I just try to mix my color patterns up. Here's a marker review I posted last year! Good Luck :D http://geeden.blogspot.com/2013/01/marker-review2nd-edition.html
Hi Eden: You give me goosebumps every time you make your colourful mandellas! Thank you .. you are such an inspiration with your creativity and colour sense. I agree .. don't wait so long between these beauties.
Hi Amanda! Hi Gwen! Thank you for your nice comments! And Gwen I could live off yours for quite sometime.....I do enjoy the Mandelas and I will continue with more because although they aren't very technical they make me happy! I never know how they will turn out and its nice to know you enjoy them too! Happy Valentines Day :)
